Young Palestinian man killed by Israeli forces in Shufat refugee camp

September 5, 2016 /

In the early hours of Monday morning, Israeli occupational forces shot and killed a Palestinian man in Shufat refugee camp in occupied East Jerusalem. The incident was followed by a raid in the refugee camp by Israeli occupational forces.

According to local sources, Israeli occupational forces “showered” a Palestinian car with gunfire. Mustafa Nimir was killed and another young Palestinian was injured.

Israeli occupational forces claimed that the vehicle was attempting to run over officers. No evidence has been provided to prove these accusations.

Palestinians continue to be extrajudicially killed without any substantial evidence being provided by authorities. Since October, over 220 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli occupational forces and settlers. Israel has only investigated 24 cases of shootings of Palestinians. Only one case has led to prosecution.
