A position has become available within FOA, a leading NGO working for the human rights of Palestinians and promoting the sacredness of Al-Aqsa Sanctuary. This is initially for a 1-year period. The right candidate will be dynamic and conscientious, and able to take the initiative to help us continue campaigning successfully.
Research and Digital Communications Assistant
Our team requires a research assistant who will be able to undertake a varied role including research, drafting press releases, digital communication, and providing support to the rest of the team.
Hours: Full Time
Salary Range: £26,000 – £28,000 (Dependent on qualifications and experience)
Job specification: This role will require a dynamic person with excellent written and oral communication skills, who is able to work under pressure. You will have a degree or equivalent qualification, and some interest/experience/knowledge about the Palestine issue. You will be confident in the use of social media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing research support for various FOA projects
- Drafting press releases and action alerts as required
- Supporting in the drafting of detailed reports
- Assisting with the organisation of events relevant to FOA publications
- Help create and implement digital communications strategy
- Providing administrative support
Person Specification:
- Must have a degree or equivalent qualification
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to demonstrate a good level of research skills
- Must be efficient and well-organised
- Must be flexible with time dependent on campaign needs, which will be reflective of the situation on the ground in Palestine
- Must be proactive and willing to go the extra mile
- Must be confident and willing to undertake new challenges
- Must demonstrate a commitment to the Palestine cause
- Must be able to work independently and part of a team
