Four prisoners connected to Palestine Action are currently on hunger strike in UK prisons. They are being held on remand without conviction, and their legal teams have raised serious concerns about prolonged detention, harsh prison conditions, and severe restrictions on communication and legal access.
Several of the hunger strikers have been hospitalised, with doctors warning of serious and potentially irreversible harm if the situation continues. The hunger strike is a desperate attempt to draw attention to their treatment and to demand fair legal process and humane conditions.
In response, Early Day Motion 2386 has been tabled in Parliament. So far, 62 MPs have signed the motion, which calls on the Justice Secretary to urgently intervene and address the conditions faced by the hunger strikers.
Early Day Motions allow MPs to publicly show support for urgent issues. While they are not debated, the number of MPs who sign them matters. The more MPs who add their names, the greater the pressure on the government to act.
We are calling on supporters to contact their MP and urge them to sign EDM 2386. Every email helps increase pressure, protect basic rights, and push for an urgent and fair resolution.
