We welcome the great news that Hisham Abu Hawash’s hunger strike has come to an end. However, he is due to be released from prison in February. We are calling for Hisham’s IMMEDIATE release as well as the release of over 500 Palestinians currently under administrative detention.
Israel’s administrative detention policy means Palestinians are being held without charge or trial on the grounds that an offense might be committed in the future. This is illegal!
Palestinian Prisoners should not have to starve themselves to secure the basic human right to a fair trial. Let’s continue to campaign against Israel’s illegal administrative detention policy.
What can we do?
- Join the protest for Hisham’s immediate release and for the 500+ prisoners currently under administrative detention. On Thursday 6th January, 5.30pm. Opposite the Israeli Embassy, by Palace Green, High Street Kensington, London W8 4QB.
- Increase awareness of the Palestinian prisoners held under the administrative detention policy by using #FreeThemAll and #StopAdministrativeDetention.
- Write to your MPs to condemn this appalling policy: Click here.
