From Grief to Action – Luton, 26 September
Join us in Luton to learn how to take our long-term grief and turn it into meaningful action for the Palestinians.
TIME: 5:30pm – 7:00pm
LOCATION: Bury Park Community Resource Centre, 161b Dunstable Rd, LU1 1BW
Speaking at the event will be Shamiul Joarder, one of the key leaders of the national demos for Palestine. He will share how we can further build political pressure and campaign for Palestine.
Also speaking is Abubaker Abed, a journalist from Deir al Balah in Gaza who regularly covers Israel’s genocide. His testimony at The Gaza Tribunal displayed the shocking reality of the lives of journalists in Gaza.
Student activist, Hanen Elobeid will also be joining. She has been organising and coordinating Palestinian solidarity in colleges and universities across the UK for years.
You’ll learn more about FOA’s upcoming events, such as the national ‘Know Their Names’ event on October 4. Members of the public will read out the names of the 20,000 children killed in Gaza to highlight the scale of Israel’s crimes.
With recent events, it may feel like our voices are not being heard, but our united actions are pushing back. We cannot fight for a free Palestine without your support. We cannot sit back and give up. A change will come, but it will need you to come out and join the movement.
So, join us on Thursday and let’s motivate each other to make October 11 one of the biggest protests we have ever seen.
