“Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freiri” with Dr Ismail Patel.
This one-day course offers teacher-educators a focused, critical reading of Paulo Freire’s Pedagogy of the Oppressed. Through close textual analysis and facilitated discussion, participants will unpack Freire’s core concepts and examine how these ideas can be used to build counter-narratives that resist the social construction and marginalisation of the “Other.”
The day balances theoretical reflection with collaborative discussions designed to help participants translate Freirean theory into pedagogical practice.
