My name is Ahmad Khilji, and I will be running the Leicester Half Marathon on Saturday 10 October 2026.
Over the last three years, we have witnessed the acceleration of a genocide in Palestine. As we enjoy the privilege of being able to move and run freely, thousands of Palestinians in Gaza have suffered amputations.
I am raising money for Friends of Al-Aqsa, an organisation that has been campaigning for Palestinian rights for 30 years.
This is not only a humanitarian issue; it is a political one. Friends of Al-Aqsa campaigns on the political issues underlying the suffering: Israel's occupation of Palestine.
That is why I have chosen to raise money for Friends of Al-Aqsa.
