More than 60 countries to mobilise for Palestine on 10 October

PRESS RELEASE

7 October 2026

People across more than 60 countries will take to the streets this Saturday, 10 October, as part of a coordinated Global Day of Action for Palestine, marking three years since the beginning of Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

More than 200 organisations across six continents are taking part in the international mobilisation, with demonstrations, rallies, vigils, sit-ins and other actions planned around the world.

The scale of Saturday’s mobilisation reflects the growth of the global movement for Palestine over the past three years. What began as sporadic demonstrations in isolated cities has developed into an international network of movements, trade unions, student groups and civil society organisations mobilising across continents.

Three years on, however, Palestinians continue to face the devastating consequences of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, alongside intensified settlement expansion, settler violence, displacement across the occupied West Bank and violations to Masjid Al-Aqsa.

Ismail Patel, chair of Friends of Al-Aqsa said:

“The scale of this global mobilisation shows that Palestine cannot be ignored.

But mobilisation must translate into sustained global pressure for an end to Israel’s genocide, occupation, and apartheid, an end to the military and political support that enables it, and the proper enforcement of international law against Israel’s crimes against humanity and those complicit in them.”

Patel expanded, “Governments around the world must be pressed to act. That means backing the growing global BDS movement, imposing sanctions on Israel and enforcing international law”.

Friends of Al-Aqsa is supporting the Global Day of Action through holding the National Demonstration for Palestine in London on October 10.

We encourage supporters to share details of local actions and participate in the mobilisation.

Three years on, Palestine remains a global cause. On 10 October, people across the world will stand in solidarity to ensure it remains impossible to ignore.
