Dr Naledi Pandor tours UK

This week, Friends of Al-Aqsa is excited to host Dr Naledi Pandor, former South African Minister of International Relations, for a series of events across England.

Dr Pandor has decades of experience as an MP for the African National Congress, entering parliament in 1994 after the fall of apartheid. She has long been a supporter of the Palestinian struggle for self-determination and a vocal critic of Israel’s occupation. After the latter began their genocidal onslaught on Gaza last October, she led her country’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice – a major landmark in the global solidarity movement with Palestine and effort to bring Israel to account for its crimes.

We at Friends of Al-Aqsa are extremely honoured to be hosting Dr Pandor as our keynote guest this Palestine Awareness Week. She will be headlining several events during her time here:

– She will be the guest speaker at FOA’s Dinner in Leicester.

– She whas already been hosted by the University of Oxford Union

– She will also meet with Muslim organisations and hold a public event in Manchester.

– Finally, Dr Pandor will be in conversation with the director of the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP), Tayab Ali, in London, where she will also be a guest at FOA’s Palestine Awareness Week Dinner, alongside Ismail Patel, the Chair of FOA; Ahmed Alnaouq, co-founder of We Are Not Numbers; and rapper and activist Lowkey.
